Last week we had a boost of heat. I loved that it seemed to extend summer. Yet as the weather inevitably turns to Autumn, I am reminded of the different seasons of our lives.
Scripture says, “For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1). God has ordained in each of our lives a time for much and a time for little; a time for sickness and a time for health; a time for laughing and a time for crying.
In every season we have the opportunity to bring forth the fruits of the Spirit abiding in our hearts. We can bear fruit for the glory of God when we radiate His light in the midst of all our circumstances. We can be reasurred that God’s steady hand is guiding us through.
Just like summer turning to fall, no season is meant to last forever. If you find yourself in a season of drought or suffering, take heart. God has a renewal season just around the corner.
Give thanks for this chance to grow closer to God, preparing you to faithfully steward the bounty of blessings in your upcoming season of harvest.
