God’s in control

God likes to tell us before things happen so we know He’s in control. The Bible is full of prophesies that tell of significant events designed to move forward God’s plan of reconciliation with His wayward children. And the turning point of history was the birth of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, whose life God intended to be the atonement for all sin of all time. Jesus’ birth made possible the fulfillment of all God’s promises. And He told us about it before it happened. There’s no question—God’s in control. #fruitsoffaithministries

The Power of Belief

Belief is the currency of heaven. Deposit belief in God’s heavenly bank and your investment will pay supernatural dividends.

It did for a little girl who died. Jesus healed her. All they had to do was believe Jesus could and would do such a miracle. The power of belief has been made evident in other Scriptures: James 1:6 “But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea that is driven and tossed by the wind.”

1 Thessalonians 2:13 “And we also thank God constantly for this, that when you received the word of God, which you heard from us, you accepted it not as the word of men but as what it really is, the word of God, which is at work in you believers.”

Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith it is impossible to please him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him.”

Mark 11:24 “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours”

Matthew 21:22 “And whatever you ask in prayer, you will receive, if you have faith.”

Believe in Jesus and what He can do for you—most importantly eternal life

The Best Is Yet To Come

Here’s a quote I recently read: It said, “With every act of self-care your authentic self gets stronger, and the critical, fearful mind gets weaker. Every act of self-care is a powerful declaration: I am on my side, I am on my side. “The world has us focusing so much on ourselves. Self-reliance, self-care, self-confidence, self-awareness, and the list could go on. We are searching for fulfillment and we think we can find it in ourselves. All we will likely find is the mantra “I am on my side” with little to show for it. What is the best form of self-care we can give ourselves? Preparing for eternity. Culture tells us we need to be “authentic” and “stronger” and “less fearful.” These are all good attributes, but when done from a temporal and not eternal perspective it amounts to little more than what the Bible calls vanity. Being on our own side doesn’t eliminate fear. We are fallible. We mess up, say the wrong thing, make the wrong choice. Fear thrives in uncertainty and we are uncertain, unreliable beings.Only if God is on our side can we leave fear behind! He has the future already figured out. And if you choose to trust that “God is on my side” you’ll get to enjoy the benefits of what He has in store.
